From Lab to the Market
SAMS Technology S.r.l. is an Italian innovative start-up coming from Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia – IIT, one of the main Italian Research Centers. SAMS was created to address the growing market need for greater traceability throughout the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic supply chain, in particular to introduce on primary packaging the traceability standards required by several companies operating in these industries, such as primary packaging manufacturers, product inspection systems producers and pharmaceutical/food/cosmetic companies.
Our vision is to make pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic supply chains more connected, digital, and transparent, so as to optimize production processes through complete visibility of industrial steps and improve, through incremental innovations, the quality of production.

START OF R&D ACTIVITIES
The first idea of using laser light for tracking and anti-counterfeiting purposes was born.
2019
TEST ON COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS
We started a collaboration with a leading international manufacturer of pharmaceutical glass and plastic primary packaging.
2020
STARTUP COMPETITIONS
Start Cup Lombardia 2020 – Premio Menzione Speciale, Premio Nazionale Innovazione 2020, Premio dei Premi 2020.
2021
COMPANY INCORPORATION
SAMS technology s.r.l. is officially incorporated on March 29th.
2022
FIRST PROTOTYPE
Implementation of the first prototype marking machine.
2024
SEED ROUND INVESTIMENT
GDN s.p.a. becomes our shareholder and partner for an initial investment round.
