Pure USP LaserMark

Marking quality, without compromise

Overview

This patented technology is based on a very high speed, high-resolution laser system (down to 1 micron), capable of working on all materials, even those that are usually difficult to mark, such as glass! The solution we have developed does not damage substrates, guaranteeing their mechanical characteristics: marking does not involve extensive heat exchange, as is the case with most standard laser processes. As a result, it is possible to process materials with extreme resolutions without damaging them and achieving a marking quality that is far superior to competitive technologies. It is possible to create microscopic markings for anti-counterfeiting purposes, as well as clearly visible and easily readable markings, such as 2D codes that can even be read by smartphones! Thanks to the unique characteristics of our laser systems, it is possible to process transparent materials, such as glass and plastics, even directly inside them without damaging their internal and external surfaces. Our technological solutions are unique because they combine extremely high marking quality with speed: we can meet the target speeds of the most complex industrial sectors, such as packaging.

Glass

Glass products are usually difficult to mark, especially in sectors where the mechanical requirements that must be met are extremely high, such as in the world of primary packaging. Thanks to the unique features of our technology, we do not damage the substrates in any way, marking high-quality codes at the correct production speeds! The high quality and high contrast of our markings ensure incredible readability of the marked 2D codes. We can apply our marking to already formed containers: we do not need to work when the container is being formed and we can carry out the marking in the cold part of production or along the supply chain without any problems (e.g. before the washing step of a filling line), unlike other technologies on the market that need to work when the glass container is being produced.

Plastic

Marking plastic products always requires a thorough understanding of the subject, especially in order to achieve markings of the highest quality and legibility. Our technologies do not damage substrates and guarantee that the characteristics of the materials are maintained. With transparent materials, it is possible to work not only on the surface, but also inside the material itself without damaging the external or internal surface. In many polymeric materials, such as PVC, PET, COP, COC, etc., it is possible to obtain also high-contrast black markings through carbonisation processes localised within the thickness of the material, without ever damaging its surfaces!

Metal

On metallic materials, through annealing processes, we can produce dark markings with excellent contrast, even on complex materials such as aluminium. Our technology allows us to modify the surface of metals by creating nanostructures that react with light, resulting in high-contrast black markings. These processes are usually slow and not applicable to high-speed production, such as pharmaceutical filling and capping lines. Our unique technology, on the other hand, allows these highly legible markings to be implemented in contexts that were previously unthinkable.
